MD-HSFAW Miami-Dade Hurricane Rated Self-Flashing Aluminum with Wood
The MD-HSFAW skylight has undergone rigorous missile impact, wind and water infiltration testing and is Miami-Dade Approved for all hurricane zones.
Co-Extruded Polycarbonate
Highly impact resistant with bronze tinted outer layer and clear inner panel sits in a reinforced hurricane grade aluminum frame which is attached to the curb with heavy-duty screws. Frame corners are welded for additional durability.
White Wood Interior
Pre-finished white poplar wood curb with the choice of 4" or 6" high curb. Foam gasket on top perimeter keeps unit water-tight.
Pre-drilled Flashing
.062" extruded aluminum with welded corners and 4" predrilled flange.
Officially Certified "Hurricane Approved" by Miami-Dade County
The MD-HSFAW skylight has undergone intense water pressure testing, large missile impact testing and water infiltration testing and has been certified by the Miami-Dade County building codes to be approved for all hurricane and HVHZ wind zones. It features a Design Pressure Rating of +/-60 psf and an Impact Rating of HVHZ - large missile impact. Read more about Miami-Dade NOA.
