What it Polycarbonate?

Polycarbonate is defined as a amorphous thermoplastic. Amorphous refers to the pliability of the material which allows it to be formed at room temperature without cracking or breaking. Additionally, it can be reformed without the application of heat. Thermoplastic simple means the ability of a plastic to become liquid at its melting point allowing for easy injection molding and even recycling.

A Few Polycarbonate Benefits

Polycarbonate transmits light almost as effectively as glass with in a lightweight material. Its impact resistance is far better than most plastics. It also helps reduce energy costs by minimizing the need for artificial lighting. Its translucent nature also provides protection from harmful UV rays reducing interior color fading on carpets and furniture.
